An accomplished photojournalist, James brings his editorial experience and approach to each and every wedding.
About James Berglie, Photographer / Owner
After graduating with a degree in Business and Information Technology, I opted not to follow the route of most of my classmates. Instead I decided to pursue a career in still photography. Back then, I barely realized just how much my business and IT background would play in my photography career.
Since 2004, I’ve been shooting professionally and my work is regularly published in outlets such as TIME, US Weekly, BusinessWeek, NewsWeek, USA Today, and numerous national and international media outlets. Feel free to check out my portfolio of non-wedding work over at www.jamesberglie.com.
At weddings, I rely on my editorial background to help, provide clients with a non-invasive approach. Photography by nature is intrusive. But I believe my job is to not only take great photos, but to make sure that my photography is as least-intrusive as possible. This allows my clients to enjoy their wedding day without constantly being interrupted with “photo ops” and pose requests.
In addition to shooting weddings, I am a senior photojournalist for ZUMA Press, an active member of the White House News Photographers Association (WHNPA), The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), and the U.S. Senate Press Photographers Gallery.
